Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This policy explains what data EV Charge Math (evchargemath.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. The site is run by Àlex Cano, based in Spain (see the legal notice), so it follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and also respects the privacy laws of U.S. states such as California.

What we collect

  • When you email us: your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply.
  • Calculator inputs: processed in your browser. We don’t store them.
  • Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location (country/region), collected through cookies and similar technologies by our hosting provider (Namecheap), analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense).

Advertising and cookies

This site uses, or will use, Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on those visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings or at www.aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses data when you use partners’ sites.

Once ads are enabled, visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland will see a consent message, managed by a Google-certified consent platform, before any non-essential cookies are set. You can accept, reject or customize, and change your choice at any time from the link at the bottom of every page.

Visitors in U.S. states with privacy laws (including California) can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer.

Legal basis (GDPR)

  • Consent: advertising and analytics cookies for EU/EEA/UK/Swiss visitors.
  • Legitimate interest: keeping the site secure and working.
  • Responding to your request: when you contact us.

How long we keep data

Emails: up to two years after the conversation ends. Cookie lifetimes are set by each provider and shown in the consent message.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to alexcanobon@gmail.com. If you’re in the EU, you can also complain to a data protection authority. In Spain, that’s the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es). California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out, and we won’t discriminate against you for using them.

Data transfers

Google and Namecheap may process data in the United States under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
